The first few play throughs, I locked in on sanctuary and really got into the whole settlement building thing. I stopped playing for quite a while, and picked it back up a couple weeks ago. This time I have ignored the entire settlement building part, and rushed purchasing home plate instead. So I still have a house and a place to safely store my items, but I no longer worry about collecting all the junk I find. I did save Preston and crew and followed them back to sanctuary, but that was it. It has been the most fun and rewarding play through yet, honestly. I used to be so focused on collecting all that stuff that I missed so much of the game. This time I am also ignoring the brotherhood and railroad, shooting for an institute play through instead.
